How to Donate / Mint Oysters
You can support this project by collecting your very own oyster and joining the reef. There are fifteen unique oyster forms that fall within four categories, with varying degrees of rarity: Oyster Engineers; Oyster Artists; Oyster Sex Symbols; and Oyster Kin.
STEP 1: If you want to mint an oyster, there are 100 oysters for sale for $100 each. You can find them at “The Dorises - Oystercraft from silicon to saltwater” project, in the “Chain Reaction” exhibition site, on Feral File.
STEP 2: Once you mint your oyster, open your contract. You’ll find a passcode. You are entitled to vote on which participating initiative should receive the funds raised through these digital oyster sales.
STEP 3: Your oyster will appear in the digital reef on the front page of this site. You can find your oyster by its unique ID. Roll over the oysters to see their IDs; click on your oyster for more info and to vote.

Why is the digital oyster project called “The Dorises - Oystercraft from silicon to saltwater?”
The project title “The Dorises” refers to Doris, the Oceanid-nymph wife of the sea-god Nereus, and the mother of the fifty Nereides (sea nymphs). Her name is connected with two words--dôron, "gift" or "bounty," and zôros, "pure" and "unmixed." We hope the subtitle is self-explanatory!
